COALITION OF FRANKLIN COUNTY REPUBLICANS OPEN A REPUBLICAN HEADQUARTERS
July 9, 2010 - A coalition of Franklin County Republicans opened a Republican Headquarter in Winchester on July 9, 2010. Franklin County Republican Headquarters will open at 1317 Dinah Shore Boulevard in the same location as the 2008 Headquarters. Come and visit during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 to 5. We have information on all state and local Republican candidates. Franklin County Republican Headquarters is sponsored by Franklin County Republican Women in partnership Franklin County Young Republicans, Sewanee College Republicans, and the South Middle Tennessee Republican Leadership Group.
JANET DORAN APPOINTED TO SERVE ON FRANKLIN COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSION
February 17, 2010 - Janet Doran, of Estill Springs, was appointed by the Tennessee State Election Commission, February 16, 2010, to serve on the Franklin County Election Commission. She was nominated by Franklin County Republican Women and will replace Mike Foster who stepped down from the Commission in January to run for Sheriff.
As a lifelong Republican, Mrs. Doran has a strong background in politics. Born in Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Doran has been a Franklin County resident for 13 years. Her daughter Chris, son-in-law Brian, two grandsons and a granddaughter also reside in Franklin County.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Federation of Republican Women, the Tennessee Federation of Republican Women and is an Immediate Past President of the Franklin County Republican Women. FCRW is a chartered organization in both TN as well as the National Federation with over 3,000 members. She served two terms as Chairman of the Franklin County Republican Party, served one term in 2007-2008 on the Franklin County Election Commission and was a representative of TnFRW in the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minnesota.
A few of Mrs. Doran’s other accomplishment are: Actively participated in campaign’s for Senator’s Bob Corker; Pat Marsh; Lamar Alexander and former Presidential Candidate Fred Thompson; Served over 2,000 volunteer hours in FC Republican Headquarters; Organized many activities and clothing drives for underprivileged children; Organized Treats for Troops to send supplies to Tennessee Military troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan; Twice served on Steering Committees when Franklin County Republican Women organized & hosted the annual Ladies Day on the Hill Event for TnFRW.
