Franklin County Republican Women

A List of Accomplishments

Support for our military!  FCRW participates in Treats for Troops.  We coordinated a luncheon to honor a wounded Franklin County veteran and in November 09 cooked breakfast for the 278th Unit at Winchester's National Guard Armory.

Support for our candidates!  Members of FCRW made over 700 phone calls in the 2008 election alone!  In that same election we sponsored a candidate forum, raised money for our PAC (The Barbara McAndrew I.R.I.S. fund), and sent campaign mailers to over 1,500 Franklin County voters!

Support for our schools!  FCRW has contributed dozens of school supplies to benefit local children over the past few years.  We also provide clothing for needy children at Christmas.

Support for our community!  FCRW has helped organize Cowan's Halloween-in-the-Park every year for the past seven years.  We also have an active membership in Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.

Support for our neighbors!  FCRW members are fighting to protect Greenhaw - a beautiful and historic farming community - from an improper annexation and a disruptive rock quarry.

Support for our Tennessee Values!  FCRW members worked to help Tennessee pass a marriage amendment.  We actively oppose all efforts to pass a State Income Tax.

Support for our Party!  FCRW members stand firm on Republican principals that are under attack - locally and nationally.  We believe that rules are rules and by-laws are to be followed, not overthrown.  We believe that only bona fide Republicans should vote in Party Conventions, and that no party - Democrat or Republican - should try and sabotage another party's primary election.

Support for our Voters!  FCRW has a long history of registering voters and helping people get to the polls on Election Day!
