Liberty Day Project
The Liberty Day Project is is an endeavor FCRW wants to undertake this year.
Some background information: Founded in 1996 by Andy McKean and his late wife, Kathy, Liberty
Day is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), nonpartisan effort which spans the nation and is dedicated to educating all Americans, but especially the next generation, about the contents of the Constitution of the United
States of America.
Liberty Day provides us with a Complete Educational Resource Package, a product developed with the help of
teachers, university professors, curriculum leaders, and other partners in education. This resource is expressly designed to give teachers a brief and simple yet complete lesson plan and an array of hands-on materials and extra background information with which to teach the United States Constitution.
The cost is only $25 per classroom (plus shipping)! We would love to raise enough money to give each 5th Grade class in Franklin County this resource.
September 17th is the date for the Liberty Day Project. Please consider helping us reach this very worthy goal!
